Although gestures don’t use words, therefore are not affected by idioms, there are a lot of communication barriers when it comes to body language. One movement may have a very polite meaning in one country and an extremely offensive one in another part of the planet.

The aim of this project — a guide for travellers, an anthropological exploration, a humorous analysis — is to reveal some of these gestures and their meanings, while visually exploring their contrasts.

The content consists of a list of gestures and their meanings in different countries. The media includes a website, posters and small booklets/leaflets.
